Child Protective Services is now getting involved. Many people say what the mom is doing is child abuse, but she insists she\u2019s not the only mother giving Botox to her child.<\/p>\n

Britney: It hurts and I get used to it\u2026
\nReporter: Do you cry?
\nBritney: A little.
\nReporter: You do?
\nBritney: But now, I don\u2019t.<\/em><\/p>\n

Britney is only 8 years old, but she gets Botox injections regularly. Her mother, Kerry Campbell, told ABC\u2019s Good Morning America she administers the shots. Campbell has been entering her daughter in beauty pageants and says she got the idea from other moms.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd they were just telling me about the lines on her face and how, you know a lot of the moms there, they\u2019re giving their kids Botox. And it\u2019s pretty much like the thing. I\u2019m not the only one that does it,\u201d said Campbell.<\/p>\n

Viewers who watched the story Thursday morning were outraged. In fact, San Francisco\u2019s Child Protective Services was flooded with calls from people concerned about Britney\u2019s well-being.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to sit down and talk with the mom, talk with the child, and see what\u2019s going on,\u201d said Trent Rohrer.<\/p>\n

Rohrer is in charge of San Francisco\u2019s Child Protective Services. He says his staff has launched an investigation. They\u2019re working with the police department.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s pretty unusual for a mom to be injecting an 8-year-old with Botox and certainly is grounds for an investigation,\u201d said Rohrer.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
