How\u2019s this for an unusual marketing gimmick:<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Red Robin is hoping to lure Catholics who are abstaining from meat during\u00a0Lent<\/a>\u00a0by presenting its latest seafood menu \u2014 even inviting\u00a0Pope Francis<\/a>\u00a0to lunch.<\/p>\n

And other fast food restaurants are jumping on the Lent wagon as well.<\/p>\n

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc., based in Greenwood Village,\u00a0Colorado<\/a>, extended an invitation to the pope on Wednesday as it introduced its new \u201cWild Pacific\u201d crab cake burger.<\/p>\n

The company released a statement \u201cjoyfully\u201d extending an invitation to the pope to eat at Red Robin during the Lenten season.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf His Holiness accepts and visits any U.S. location between February 18 and April 2, Red Robin will offer The Wild Pacific Crab Cake Burger to guests for free, while supplies last, on the remaining Fridays during Lent,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n

There are more than 500 Red Robin restaurants in the U.S. and\u00a0Canada<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
