Families today need this miracle!\u201d<\/span><br style=\"color: #001572;\"><br style=\"color: #001572;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, Vatican spokesman, told reporters Pope Francis was not referring to any specific proposal discussed in anticipation of the synod; one of the most common \u2014 and most debated pastoral suggestions \u2014 was to develop a process or \u201cpenitential path\u201d for divorced and civilly remarried Catholics who want to receive Communion but have not received an annulment.<\/span><br style=\"color: #001572;\"><br style=\"color: #001572;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The pope, Father Lombardi said, hopes the synod \u201cwill find a way to help people move from a situation of sin to a situation of grace.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicnews.com\/data\/stories\/cns\/1502896.htm\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span
