But no.<\/p>\n<p>From <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tennessean.com\/story\/news\/education\/2015\/08\/30\/university-tennessee-gender-neutral-pronouns\/71416632\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Associated Press:\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>University of Tennessee students have been asked to use gender-neutral pronouns such as \u201cze.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The University of Tennessee Office for Diversity and Inclusion is asking students and faculty to use the pronouns in order to create a more inclusive campus, multiple media outlets report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTransgender people and people who do not identify within the gender binary may use a different name than their legal name and pronouns of their gender identity, rather than the pronouns of the sex they were assigned at birth,\u201d the University of Tennessee\u2019s Pride Center Director, Donna Braquet, wrote on the university\u2019s website Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Braquet requested that teachers, rather than calling roll, will instead ask each student to provide the name and pronoun he or she \u2014 or ze \u2014 wishes to be referred by. She says it relieves a burden for people expressing different genders or identities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe name a student uses may not be the one on the official roster, and the roster name may not be the same gender as the one the student now uses,\u201d Braquet wrote.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tennessean.com\/story\/news\/education\/2015\/08\/30\/university-tennessee-gender-neutral-pronouns\/71416632\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Read more.<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I thought this was a joke.
