WashingtonPost.com<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\nPhoto by John Moore\/Getty<\/strong><\/p>\nUPDATE: <\/strong>A reader sent me this note:<\/p>\n\nI became somewhat obsessed with a Washington Post photo slideshow showing a family being evicted in Colorado.\u00a0 I spent much of the day thinking about the family.\u00a0 I started to Google for the name of the mother pictured in the photos and this led me to your blog\u2026have you considered trying to help this family?\u00a0 I would be willing to contribute.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
That\u2019s a poignant response \u2014 but I\u2019m not really equipped to handle something like that.\u00a0 And I suspect, even if I were, I\u2019d soon be flooded with requests from others.\u00a0 The best help any of us can give at this moment, I think, is prayer.\u00a0 Meantime, judging from the reaction in some of the comments, I\u2019d kindly ask everyone to take a deep breath.\u00a0 We don\u2019t know enough about the circumstances of this family.\u00a0 But we do know this: none of us would want to be in their shoes.\u00a0 Yet so many of us today are vulnerable.\u00a0 Some who are reading this could very well be worried that one morning they\u2019ll get that knock on the door, the same one that Brandie Barbiere got.\u00a0 Pray for her, her family, and our country.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
