Dennis Prager, who pretends to be the voice of true morality, takes an absolutely vile position on the attempted rape allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. He simply isn’t interested in whether they’re true or not. Even if he’s 100% guilty, Prager says no one should care. And he cites “Judeo-Christian ethics” to justify that stance.
It is almost impossible to overstate the damage done to America’s moral compass by taking the charges leveled against Judge Brett Kavanaugh seriously.
It undermines foundational moral principles of any decent society.
Seriously. He said that. Prepare yourself to ignore your gag reflex.
This is another example of the moral chaos sown by secularism and the Left. In any society rooted in Judeo-Christian values, it is understood that people should be morally assessed based on how they behave over the course of their lifetime — early behavior being the least important period in making such an assessment.
These religious values taught us that all of us are sinners and, therefore, with the exception of those who have engaged in true evil, we need to be very careful in making moral evaluations of human beings.
Really? Where exactly is that found in the Bible? If that were true, why would there be specific punishments, including death by stoning, commanded in the Bible? If that were true, wouldn’t such punishment wait until someone died when God could then evaluate the whole of someone’s life and weigh the good and the bad? This standard that he attributes to “Judeo-Christian ethics” is found nowhere in the holy texts of either of those religious traditions.Indeed, death by stoning is commanded for things like being gay, not being a virgin on one’s wedding day (women only, of course) and working on the Sabbath. I guess that’s what Prager regards as “true evil.” As opposed to rape, which apparently is not “true evil.” That’s as morally bankrupt as it gets. But it’s consistent with how the Old Testament law says about rape. What was the prescribed punishment for raping a woman in the Bible? Let’s look at Deuteronomy 22:
If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.
They let the man buy his victim from her father and forces her to marry him. That’s as repulsive and immoral as it gets. But consensual sex that is outside of marriage? You get stoned for that — again, women only. The man gets away scot free. That’s the “Judeo-Christian” ethics that Prager praises as the only thing between us and anarchy and nihilism.
Let’s be blunt: Dennis Prager is an immoral monster, period. Which means he’s a perfect representative of the immoral and barbaric God he worships.
