John Nolte, a columnist for Breitbart, has an utterly ridiculous column about Trump’s racist and xenophobic attack on four progressive Democratic Congresswomen. He calls Trump a brave and ‘noble’ truth-teller with the “heart of a lion” and his tweets were “the most liberating, crucial, noble, effective, and American defense of free speech in my lifetime.”
Trump told the truth. Trump defended America. This is what a president is supposed to do.
But in America today nothing is more dangerous than telling the truth. The media cannot stand it. The Democrat Party cannot survive it. The simpering gerbil-cucks who call themselves “Never Trump TrueCons” melt down like little girls over the very idea of waging this righteous battle in the only way it can be won — with the same belligerence the other side uses when they talk of “concentration camps” and “impeaching the motherfucker.”Trump has the heart of a lion, and his willingness to take flaming arrows in the back to speak the truth is the most liberating, crucial, noble, effective, and American defense of free speech in my lifetime.
I really can’t imagine going through life being this thoroughly disconnected from reality. Trump a noble defender of free speech? In what alternative universe? Trump has made it quite clear that he simply doesn’t believe in free speech for anyone but those who agree with him. He wants to punish newspapers for printing stories he doesn’t like, saying that the “mainstream media” is not covered by the First Amendment at all. Nolte is just blinkered beyond belief.
