Let’s face it, Bryan Fischer just isn’t that bright. And he’s so tribalistic and ideologically rigid that he’s completely incapable of recognizing the inconsistencies in his own claim (like claiming that the 1st Amendment only applies to Congress, then saying that the city of Houston is destroying that amendment). Here’s another perfect example:
Bryan Fischer’s views on the First Amendment are, to put it mildly, quite bizarre. He claims that it only applies to Christians, not to anyone of any other religion. He also has claimed repeatedly that it applies only to Congress, ignoring completely the 14th Amendment:
Bryan Fischer is, like most wingnuts, very upset that Christian businesses are expected to follow the same rules every other business has to follow by not engaging in discrimination. In his latest tirade on the subject, he says that this is literally slavery and that the rainbow flag is the “mark of the beast.”
Reacting to the gruesome beheading of someone in Oklahoma by a co-worker, Bryan Fischer found a way to link it to the recent satanic black mass held in Oklahoma City. He doesn’t have an actual argument to make for this causation, of course, just a tired cliche about hell breaking loose.
Bryan Fischer burnished his credentials as a Christian fascist by demanding that the United States do immigration “God’s way” and force all immigrants to convert to Christianity before entering the country. Remember, when ISIS forces people to convert or die, it’s an outrage. When Christians do it, it’s just God’s way.
Bryan Fischer thinks it’s simply ridiculous that people are worried about climate change raising sea levels and flooding coastal areas. Why? Because God promised in Genesis after he drowned the whole world that he wouldn’t do that again with flood waters. So every time you see a rainbow, you should know that global warming is a hoax.
Apparently jealous of so many of his fellow wingnuts who have said staggeringly stupid and offensive things about Ray Rice knocking out his then-fiance, Bryan Fischer on Friday pulled himself up by his bootstraps and got himself back in the game by declaring that the reason it happened was because they were living together before marriage, as the Bible forbids.
Bryan Fischer, always eager to make the case for the Christian theocracy he daydreams about in such vivid images that he probably fondles himself while he does so, now wants atheists banned from the military because they don’t have “America’s values engraved on their hearts.”
In the world that Bryan Fischer thinks he lives in, a world in which up is down, black is white and Obama is a Muslim communist, apparently it’s straight people that are being terribly discriminated against in the NFL because the Dallas Cowboys signed the only openly gay player in professional football to their practice squad.
