I said on Facebook moments after the court’s marriage ruling was handed down that I have no intention of being a gracious winner. I intend to savor every tear shed by the bigots who lost this fight and laugh my ass off at every enraged rant they spew. I think I’ll start with Bryan Fischer:

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who display a staggering lack of self-awareness, accusing others of displaying their own worst faults. And seeing Glenn Beck rail against irresponsible journalism is the very definition of psychological projection.

Bryan Fischer proves once again why I named this award after him, given for those who display a staggering lack of self-awareness and accuse their opponents of their own worst sins. His gift for psychological projection reaches comic levels as he accuses gay rights activists of worshiping — I kid you not — a vengeful, hateful god.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who show a breathtaking lack of self-awareness, accusing their opponents of their own worst sins. Bill O’Reilly is a first ballot Bryan Fischer Award Hall of Fame inductee. He’s practically the living embodiment of obliviousness to his own contradictions. Get a load of this:

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who display a breathtaking lack of self-awareness, accusing their opponents of their own worst sins and remaining gloriously unaware of their own self-contradictions. Sen. Tom Cotton, the man behind that letter to the leaders of Iran, has definitely earned that award:

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who show a staggering lack of self-awareness by accusing their opponents of their own worst traits. This time I’m giving a reverse Bryan Fischer award to Bryan Fischer himself for claiming the better traits of his opponents for himself.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who show a staggering lack of self-awareness, accusing their enemies of exhibiting their own worst traits. The winner this time is Bill O’Reilly, who is as oblivious to his own faults and contradictions as it is humanly possible to be. If you’re wondering why Bryan Fischer was removed as the American Family Association’s Director of Issues Analysis and spokesperson but allowed to keep his radio show, the Southern Poverty Law Center has the real story. They sent a letter to the Republican National Committee because the RNC is taking a trip to Israel sponsored by the AFA and informed them of some of the more bizarre and vile things Fischer has said. The AFA replied with a letter explicitly renouncing a whole bunch of those statements. Here’s that letter:

Holy shit! Bryan Fischer has been fired as the Director of Issues Analysis by the American Family Association, though it appears he still has a radio show for them. Rachel Maddow apparently first reported the news and it was confirmed by Tim Wildmon.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who show a staggering lack of self-awareness, accusing their enemies of engaging in their own worst and most flagrant behaviors and being completely oblivious to their own hypocrisy. The Worldnetdaily might as well be the daily newspaper of the Bryan Fischer Award.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who display a breathtaking lack of self-awareness, accusing their enemies of their own worst sins and being completely oblivious to their own contradictions. And hoo boy, does Tony Perkins do that in spades here, saying Islam is wrong because it’s a “judicial philosophy” and a political one.

I have a serious question: Is Bryan Fischer injecting the pot? Because he’s usually blessed with an incredible lack of self-awareness, but now he’s managed to take his own cognitive dissonance to world record levels. Only days after saying that the people at Charlie Hebdo had it coming for blaspheming God, he’s now claiming that Obama is blaming them too.
