TCS has just won a USD 1.2 billion deal from Nielsen - the Dutch media company. This is the first big ticket win in the billion dollar league. It will be a 10 year deal that will include integrating Nielsen's systems include some of the HR and finance apps. This will put TCS in the big league. Indian companies have typically stayed in the 50-200 million dollar range. This is sure to boost the Indian IT market and also shake up the world IT arena. IBM and Accenture can no longer take TCS - and other companies for granted. Suddenly, the battle is bigger.
