In just three years, Freida Pinto has turned from \u2018Slumdog\u2019 neopphyte into one of Hollywood\u2019s hottest properties, witha starring role in the new \u2018Planet of the Apes\u2019 reboot. But, she reveals to Sam Peters, she was more than happy to shoot her latest film back in India.<\/p>\n

\u201cRough! Sad! Tragic!\u201d Freida Pinto is saying with wide-eyed gusto. The 26-year-old, Mumbai-born actress is talking about her most recent filming experience, shooting Trishna, a new version of Tess of the d\u2019Urbervilles with Michael Winterbottom. \u201cWhatever you wanna call it, that was that film,\u201d Pinto continues. \u201cBut Tess is one of those books anyway. With just 10 or 15 per cent of happy moments. Or less than that.\u201d Pinto furrows her brow slightly. \u201cI would say 12 per cent.\u201d<\/p>\n
