Indian Marriages are a world unto themselves.\u00a0 The behavior is typical and interesting.\u00a0 Bride and Groom are accidental diversions.\u00a0 People actually go to live a fantasy.\u00a0 Many things are common and have grown into people\u2019s imagination not because of any genuine reason, but because they are peculiar.<\/p>\n
So it is very common for all the adult men to drink and not just drink but do so out of a car trunk converted into a bar.\u00a0 The car trunk-turned bar is the most common feature of the Indian marriage.\u00a0 But it is the dance by the attendees that takes the cake.\u00a0 I admit I have been to many marriages in India and admittedly, I have burnt, literally, many dance floors.\u00a0 But all my performances, uncharitable comments of my son notwithstanding watching my marriage video, pale in front of this guy.<\/p>\n
He is the Michael Jackson of Indian marriage dancers.<\/p>\n
The Unknown Dancing Dude is original.\u00a0 Does what I have seen no one ever do.\u00a0 He has his entire performance planned yet makes it look impromptu (or is it otherwise? \u2013 no one will ever know!).\u00a0 If you look at his performance, you realize that he comes out of nowhere, does some absolutely unbelievable hand moves that have a unique flow and keep you guessing, and within 40 seconds has another guy (the dude in blue sweater) copying after him.\u00a0 I am not sure about you, but I have not seen even ONE dancer on any floor who makes people follow him in such a short time.<\/p>\n
The wanna-be, unfortunately pales in his company.\u00a0 And, for a good measure, our Dancing Star gives him a nice surprise as he launches into the closest and most precise cartwheel I have seen ever.<\/p>\n
It takes a full minute and a half and a song change, for real competition to appear.\u00a0 But all this \u2013 the wanna-be and the challenger \u2013 leave our dude unfazed.\u00a0 Come hail or shine, he goes on.\u00a0 Sometimes rolling and sometime jumping and sometimes doing the vertical-hand-wiper in front of his face moves.\u00a0 Amazing and unseen on any dance floor.<\/p>\n
Strangely, you realize that the challenger is no ordinary guy himself.\u00a0 He is capable of pretty wicked stuff himself.\u00a0 He launches into a full body waves and hand oars all over the place.<\/p>\n
By the time, the performance ends, you are left gasping for more.\u00a0 You realize you have just witnessed history in the making.<\/p>\n
This, performance, friends \u2013 will be tough to beat in the next marriage party I go to.\u00a0 If, I can get past the Oil Drilling routines I learnt from the greatest dancer of Bollywood of all times, Sunny Deol.\u00a0 Between my tutelage under \u2013 virtual \u2013 under Dharmendra (Deol\u2019s Dad) and Sunny\u00a0\u2013 I have grown to be a rather enviable shaker of legs.\u00a0 My Son, deservedly calls my dance in my own marriage video as the \u201cTaekwondo Dance\u201d.\u00a0 Except that it wasn\u2019t as harmless as your neighborhood Taekwondo Class.\u00a0 But then, I have lots to learn\u2026 miles to go.. as they say.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
