The Unscrupulous Khurshids: Stealing from the Handicapped!!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>

Arvind Kejriwal has said that India\u2019s Law Minister, Salman Khurshid and his wife Louise Khurshid have been running a scam in the NGO where Louise is the Chief Functioning Officer.\u00a0 Moreover, the NGO (Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust<\/strong>) is registered at Khurshid\u2019s residence in Delhi \u2013 4, Gulmohar Avenue, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi.<\/p>\n

Now, in 2009-10 and 2010-11, this NGO received Rs 71.50 and 68 lacs respectively.\u00a0 A \u00a0state-wide enquiry was ordered into the malpractices by the Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust in a project being run by the NGO.\u00a0 The enquiry was ordered by the the UP government (January 12, 2012) after it was alerted by Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.<\/div>\n

Interesting, isn\u2019t it?\u00a0 The Central Government ministry knew of the scam being run by one of the Government\u2019s own Union Minister!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

A report sent to UP\u2019s Special State Secretary clearly shows that the signatures and Government stamps on the documents were forged.\u00a0 Forgery was used to show that work \u2013 for which the NGO received money \u2013 was done, when in fact it hadn\u2019t been done!\u00a0 Worse, these projects and the NGO was taking money for PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED people\u2019s development work.\u00a0 So, basically Salman Khurshid and his wife have been stealing from handicapped people!<\/p>\n

Here are the forgeries and the discrepancies that the report pointed out (courtesy: India Today<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Etah:<\/strong> The district administration has reported that no camp was organised by Dr Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust for distribution of aids to physically challenged people against the grants given by the government of India. Besides, signatures of chief medical officer (CMO) and tehsildar on the check list for verification of work seem to be forged.<\/p>\n

Bhadohi:<\/strong> The report of district welfare officer (Ref 227\/October 1, 2011) says no camp was organised on April 17, 2010, as claimed by the trust and chief development office (CDO) has not signed any report.<\/p>\n

Etawah:<\/strong> The CMO in a letter (CMO\/2011\/6134) has stated that signatures of CMO on check list of beneficiaries seem forged.<\/p>\n

Farrukhabad:<\/strong> The district magistrate (Ref 8306\/12\/8\/11) reveals that signatures of tehsildar and CMO seem to be forged on the check list of beneficiaries supposedly provided with disability aids.<\/p>\n

Bulandshahr:<\/strong> Stamp and signatures of district welfare officer (DWO) forged. No health unit exists in Bulandshahr, as mentioned by the trust in its report.<\/p>\n

Kanshiram Nagar:<\/strong> Signatures of CMO and block development officer (BDO) were found to be forged.<\/p>\n

Mainpuri:<\/strong> Signatures on check list of beneficiaries by district handicap welfare officer and BDO were found to be forged.<\/p>\n

Shahjahanpur:<\/strong> No post of BDO Sadar exists in the district, as mentioned in the report of Louise Khurshid.<\/p>\n

Allahabad:<\/strong> Tehsildar and district handicap welfare officer have not signed on the check list of the beneficiaries supposed to have received aid from the trust.

\nKannauj:<\/strong>Signatures and stamps of government officers were found to be forged.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
