You can now rent movies in Indian and Mexico via Google Play.\u00a0 Either through web or through your smartphone.\u00a0 Interestingly, this coincides with the launch of Nexus 7<\/a> in India.<\/p>\n

Google has started selling<\/a> its Nexus 7<\/a> tablet in India Tuesday, and these recent updates are obviously part of the company\u2019s push to one of the world\u2019s most populous countries. Nexus 7 is available in India in the Google Play store for $294, and it will start shipping to customers on April 5.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Buying a movie costs an average of Rs 500, while renting costs around Rs 120, unless you want it in HD which will cost a little more.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

With most Google Play movie rentals, you have 30 days from the time of purchase to start your movie and 24 hours from the time you begin playback to finish watching.<\/p>\n

According to Google\u2019s terms and conditions<\/a>, customers have the ability to return or cancel their purchase anytime within seven days of purchase if they have not begun playback. However if you have ordered content that is defective, unavailable or does not perform as stated, you may request a refund at any time.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

With Apple trying to triple its presence and Google upping its ante in media related content, India will see a lot of exciting times in the next few years.<\/p>\n

Also, in another addition for Indian users, Gmail is ready to support six Indic languages in featurephone browsers: Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu.<\/p>\n
