Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he replied to his Tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect wood to be prepared.<\/p>\n
But also being a practical leader, after several days he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked \u201cIs the coming winter going to be cold?\u201d \u201cIt looks like this winter is Going to be quite cold indeed,\u201d the meteorologist at the weather service responded.<\/p>\n
So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more wood. A week later, he called the National Weather Service again. \u201cIs it going to be a very cold winter?\u201d \u201cYes,\u201d the man at National Weather Service again r! eplied, \u201cIt\u2019s definitely going to be a very cold winter.\u201d The Chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of wood they could find.<\/p>\n
Two weeks later, he called the National Weather Service again. \u201cAre you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?\u201d \u201cAbsolutely,\u201d The man replied. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be one of the coldest winters ever.\u201d \u201cHow can you be so sure?\u201d the Chief asked. The weatherman replied, \u201cThe Red Indians are collecting wood like crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n
