Technology is a strange thing. People are changing everyday and using the new tools in the most innovative ways. Here is a guy \u2013 using the Islamic Shariat law as his moral backing \u2013 sent his third SMS to Divorce his wife. The wife has appealed against the \u201cdivorce\u201d in the Egyptian court but if the divorce is upheld (of which there is a precendence for in the Egyptian law) then this might well be the first case of Divorce by SMS<\/b>!<\/p>\n

And what was the reason for such a short and quick divorce? Well, the guy called his wife a few moments back and she did not pick up the phone! So, he dialed her number, this time to punch in \u201cI divorce you because you didn\u2019t answer your husband,\u201d<\/i>. Bravo! His \u201cmanhood\u201d restored, he is probably happy and looking for another foolish female to marry!<\/p>\n

Just for SMS\u2019ing divorce twice this lady should have kicked him from her life! She should given some serious education JUST to have her stand up to such rank injustice and barbarity!<\/p>\n

Malaysia, meanwhile, has banned \u201cDivorce by SMS\u201d! That country believes in women\u2019s right apparently!! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

This just exasperates me \u2013 how can such foolishness be tolerated? Forget the theological arguments about women\u2019s right \u2013 the issue is of PRACTICE! Words in the books do not help the sufferer and the victim.. actions do! That is where work needs to be done. Mere verbal arguments do not do anyone any good! When will the world get this simple fact?<\/p>\n
