Said to have been drafted jointly by Ghosh and Ranadive, the letter was<br>\ndelivered to the Chinese Embassy during the second week of August. The letter reportedly described the emotions aroused among t h e Indian p o p u l a t i m over the Tibetan issue and over<br>\nthe undemarcated Sino-Indian border, particularly in view of the Chinese refusal to clarify their stand on older Chinese<br>\nmaps claiming areas regarded by India as belonging to her.
