Chinese are smart and have made the US play into their hands \u2013 from the economy to manufatcuring to defense. And for some reason, the Americans have played happily along.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the Chinese have penetrated US\u2019s cyber networks and also pushed counterfeit equipment parts so deep that they have been found installed in the latest state of the art defense equipment like the aircrafts in the US. The banking system, the electricity grid and the defense network \u2013 all are either mapped and penetrated or made vulnerable due to counterfeits. In the long run, when the crunch comes, it may hurt the US.<\/p>\n

The National Counterintelligence Executive, Joel Brenner, said at the Austin University Texas last week<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re also seeing counterfeit routers and chips, and some of those chips have made their way into US military fighter aircraft.. You don\u2019t sneak counterfeit chips into another nation\u2019s aircraft to steal data. When it\u2019s done intentionally, it\u2019s done to degrade systems, or to have the ability to do so at a time of one\u2019s choosing.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Pretty serious charge. Wonder what the Obama Government is doing about all this?<\/p>\n
