Wikipedia is an interesting human experiment. Multitudes of people, totally unrelated, came to gether in an ad-hoc way to create content. Such content that it became the number one encyclopedia. Now for anything you either go to Google or to Wikipedia.<\/p>\n

But the article growth in Wikipedia has been slowing down now. And instead of creating new content, the editors are more involved in bureaucreatic haggling and back\/forth on what remains and what is thrown out of a page. Which probably was expected.<\/p>\n

It has also become difficult for random people to add to any content. Wikipedia is less inviting of non-regular contributors. So, there is this ostensible intolerance of the \u201cElitists\u201d gaining ground and strength.<\/p>\n

Interesting also is the demography of who writes on Wikipedia:<\/p>\n

Wikipedians are 80 percent male, more than 65 percent single, more than 85 percent without children, and around 70 percent of them are under the age of 30.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hmmm, that means Single, Male, without kids and under 30 years is the resource pouring knowledge and information into the site. Does that make you feel comfortable and trust that source? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
