Amazon Kindle:<\/b> By far the most popular. DX: $489, Smaller version is from $259. It has a large e-book library but no touch screen. Holds up to 1500 books at one time. The entire library is over 500,000 books and the largest selection of the most popular books people want to read, including 105 of 112 New York Times\u00ae Best Sellers, plus U.S. and international newspapers, magazines, and blogs. Even Drishtikone.com is offered on Amazon Kindle.<\/p>\n
Kindle DX International<\/i> also ships in 100 countries<\/p>\n
Barnes & Noble nook:<\/b> is the e-reader from the large book seller Barnes & Noble. It is based on the Android platform and includes Wi-Fi and AT&T 3G wireless connectivity.<\/p>\n
nook<\/i> also has a \u201cLendMe\u201d feature, using which people can share some books (licensing applicable).<\/p>\n
Sony Reader editions:<\/b> Pocket Edition is PRS-300 ($199.99) and Touch edition is called PRS-600 ($299.99). The 3rd edition is PRS-900, known as the \u201cDaily Edition\u201d ($349.99).<\/p>\n
enTourage eDGe:<\/b> is by enTourage Systems. It works as a e-reader, netbook, notepad, and audio\/video recorder and player in one. You could read e-books, surf the Internet, take digital notes, send emails and instant messages, watch movies and listen to music. So, it comes pretty close to what iPad can do for you!<\/p>\n
It also has a video camera to record still images or movies as MP4s or 3GP files. eDGe also uses the Google Android operating system.<\/p>\n
It is being sold for $499 and has a dual screen!<\/p>\n
Interead\u2019s cool-er<\/b>: is sold for $249. Its operating system is Linux, has a 1GB storage with Samsung S3C2440 ARM 400MHz processor. <\/p>\n
Kobo\u2019s e-reader:<\/b> is selling for $149. it is pre-loaded with 100 classic books and can sync library to computer but doesn\u2019t feature 3G connectivity. <\/p>\n
