He walked up to a couple guys and simply said,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\u201cCome follow Me and I\u2019ll make you fishers of men.\u201d (Matthew 4:19)<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\nNow, what\u2019s incredible about this is that these guys are fishermen. So, Jesus was taking what they already knew, as their career, used the same language as their daily job, but tweaked the language to tell them that they would no longer fish for fish, but \u201cfish\u201d for men. And just like that, He changed their career path and the trajectory of their lives.<\/p>\nWhich brings me to our career paths.<\/p>\nNow, if God has known us and was thinking about us since before we were even \u201cknit together in our mother\u2019s womb\u201d (Psalm 139:13), and His good thoughts about us \u201coutnumber the grains of sand\u201d (Psalm 139:18), then the truth is that the same God who spoke the universe into existence has plans for each and every one of our lives. God delights in you! (now, for the record\u2026 it\u2019s not about YOU. It\u2019s always about Jesus. But, while we focus on God, consider what He thinks about you for a second! It\u2019s incredibly humbling!!)<\/p>\nGod relentlessly is pursuing your heart. He wants you and Him to know one another personally. Not only does He want us to know one another, but as we see throughout the Scriptures, He really does have a plan for each of our lives \u2013 a plan that works for our good and for His glory.<\/p>\nHe has also gifted us with talents, passions, insights and ingenuities that we use every day. Now, we have the choice to either use these abilities to selfishly build up our own little kingdoms, or for the glory of His great kingdom.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-8552\" src=\"https:\/\/christianpodcastcentral.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/John-Wooden-Quote.png\" alt=\"john-wooden-quote\" width=\"600\" height=\"314\"><\/p>\nSo, ask yourself: what gift, passion, talent, skill, or desire has God given you, but you choose to use it for your own good and not for His glory?<\/p>\nI understand that this question can\u2019t and shouldn\u2019t be answered in a quick two minutes. You are probably going to have to pray, fast, and introspectively contemplate on it. Ask Godly counsel for their opinions.
