My mood lifted at the thought of discovering such an unexpected gem.

\neyes squinted,
\nI saw that it was just a broken shell.<\/p>\n

And while it was no real treasure,
\nit was my treasure.<\/p>\n
Before this beach was just a landscape of broken shells, a valley of salty bones.
\nNow my imagination \u2014sparked by wonder and worth\u2014 sang to the tune of \u201cwhat if?\u201d
