Society for Women in Scholarship<\/a>.<\/p>\nI think it fair to say that there is a huge lack of representation of women in biblical and theological studies (less so in religious studies I\u2019m told). Several institutions, including some seminaries, are trying to encourage and enable women to be engaged in divinity studies and scholarship. Yes, I know much is still to be done. Yes, I know that some will criticize their view of women and leadership as the cause for the lack of women in scholarship.
