Hello all. I\u2019m very happy to announce that an anthology I\u2019m editing, with the working title Staying Catholic When You\u2019ve Been Hurt in the Church<\/em>, is on its winding way from Wipf & Stock\u2019s Cascade Press imprint. The anthology includes theology, poetry, hagiography, and personal essays, and touches on a wide range of harms people can encounter in Catholic institutions, from abuse to theft to gossip to racism. I don\u2019t know of any other collection like it. I hope it will help people find common ground in our difficult experiences, and guide people who are struggling to reshape and recover their relationship with God after being harmed by people claiming to act in His name.<\/p>\n I\u2019ll post more updates as the book moves closer to publication, and give you guys some teasers and things, but I just wanted to let you know that this book is on its way.
