There\u2019s a lot of discussion and (justifiable) fretting out there about why people leave the Cathoilc Church. It\u2019s a discussion we\u2019ve had here, and will continue to have. But I want this thread to be something different, something I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve seen before. <\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a \u201crevert\u201d\u2013why? What brought you back? <\/p>\n

I\u2019d imagine for most it will be a combination of things. And it doesn\u2019t matter why you \u201cleft\u201d\u2013although that will probably come into the discussion, too. What I mean to say is that if you \u201cleft\u201d because after your parents had you baptized they never set foot in a Catholic church again, your story is just as interesting as that of the person who consciously left, as an adult.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We have very different tastes, I think; but I read a Village Voice<\/em> review of The Death of Mr. Lazarescu<\/em>, and it made me want to run as far in the other direction as possible, whereas Victor\u2019s review makes me really wish I\u2019d seen it.<\/p>\n
