Here\u2019s a pull-quote [!]: \u201c\u2018You can get better sourdough boules<\/i> in the San Francisco airport than you can here. And that stuff is for tourists!\u2019 \u2014bread aficionado Lucy Bisognano\u201d<\/p>\n

Look, I\u2019m basically a big City Paper<\/i> booster. I landed an internship there in 1998, and it was a great experience\u2013the level of journalistic integrity and hardcore newshound-ness in that office was exhilarating. But what\u2019s up with this whiney overfed article? We\u2019re not New York! They\u2019ve got some stuff we haven\u2019t got! Stop the presses!<\/p>\n

For the record, here are my nominations for Six Things That Would Have Made Better Cover Stories:
