In the continuing saga of my criticism of critical thinking\u2026. An astute reader pointed out that some people give their hearts and trust too<\/em> easily. That\u2019s definitely true, and in fact I suspect one reason I\u2019m so quick to wave the pom-poms for trust and the leap of faith is precisely that I\u2019m a trust-and-leap kind of person. I realize that when I criticize the hypercautious, \u201cevery doubt<\/a> is a reason to say no, every answer is just another more troubling question\u201d approach I\u2019m also offering a silent, suppressed defense of my own really headlong way of life. I do actually realize that what I say isn\u2019t applicable to everyone! I hope you\u2019ll all do the AA \u201ctake what you need and leave the rest\u201d thing, and look for what\u2019s useful in my posts while being reassured that I do know that people often reject my shiny advice for very good reasons.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
