\nBefore Abraham was, I am\u2026
\nI am the light of the world\u2026
\nI am the way\u2026
\nI am the door\u2026
\nI am the vine\u2026<\/em>
\nSaid Jesus,
\nwho held up bread and said it was his body,
\nand wine, and said it was his blood.
\nAnd when his body and blood were spent,
\nWhen the light went dim,
\nWhen the way was run,
\nAnd the door was closed,
\nAnd the vine was dried,
\nwhat remained was:
\nI am.<\/em><\/p>\n

I am.
\nI am a body.
\nI am a personality, defining a name.
\nI am a member of a tribe, a faith, a family.
\nI am all these identities and more.
\nBut all identities will pass away,
\nAnd after they pass:
\nI am.<\/em><\/p>\n
