As a spiritual director, I believe strongly in the power of choice and in the dignity of each of us making our own decisions. So I don\u2019t write to\u00a0influence\u00a0your electoral choice.\u00a0However, I\u00a0do\u00a0<\/em>write with an invitation about our choices to remain close to God, as we move through the rest of this convention cycle and election.<\/p>\n

This summer, I walked the ancient pilgrimage trail, the Camino de Santiago,\u00a0and dedicated my walk\u00a0to a peaceful outcome for the world from our political elections this year and to climate stability. As I watched the first party convention last\u00a0week, I explored how to manifest that intention of peace. I thought I would just practice within myself. But as I have listened to \u200breactions in \u200bthe political commentary and general public conversations, I no longer want to stay silent and practice alone. I want to share them with all those who desire\u00a0to walk o\u200bn \u200ba spiritual path.<\/p>\n
