Former Senator Danforth is right.\u00a0 It is high time the Republicans
\nunaligned themselves from the likes of Dobson, Ralph Reed or Tony
\nPerkins.\u00a0 They need to have an honest look at the value to addressing
\nissues of poverty, war, and equality. <\/p>\n

\nFormer Missouri Senator John Danforth (R) warned his party that they
\nneed to move to the center and away from the Christian Right.\u00a0 This is
\nall in conjunction with his new book entitled \"Faith and Politics: How
\nthe 'Moral Values' Debate Divides America and How to Move Forward
\nTogether.\" \u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\nWhile many of the Christian Right leaders held their \"Values Voter
\nSummit\" this past weekend they seem to be on the verge of disarray.\u00a0
\nDr. James Dobson in a speech in Pennsylvania spoke out against the
\nRepublican leadership for not getting his way, yet endorses them from
\nthe pulpit of his tax-exempt non-profit Focus on the Family.\u00a0 State
\nlevel chapters of the Christian Coalition such as Ohio, Iowa, Alabama
\nand Georgia are leaving the national organization because of it's \"more
\nliberal\" stances on net neutrality, the environment and minimum wage
\nincrease.\u00a0 Their appearance to be leading the moral charge is being
\nexposed as a fraud.\n<\/p>\n
\nEconomic issues such as the minimum wage increase or people
\nsuffering from poverty mentioned by these leaders.\u00a0 It is merely the
\nvoice saying we want lower taxes and we will continue to drive the
\nwedges issues through this divided country.\n<\/p>\n
\nFormer Senator Danforth is right.\u00a0 It is high time the Republicans
\nunaligned themselves from the likes of Dobson, Ralph Reed or Tony
