Actress Erika Christensen<\/strong>, who has appeared in movies like Swimfan <\/em>and Traffic<\/em>, is a second-generation Scientologist. (Just like Beck<\/strong>!) Though she is active in the Church and attends plenty of Scientology events, she doesn\u2019t usually speak out about her beliefs as much as fellow Scientologists like Tom Cruise<\/strong> and Kirstie Alley<\/strong>. However, a recent spate of bad press seems to have inspired Christensen to say something. In an interview on costar Joy Bryant<\/strong>\u2018s web show, Christensen said<\/a>, \u201c[People assume] we\u2019re some kind of closed group and we\u2019re just the Hollywood religion and we worship rabbits.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/iframe>\n<p>Well, thanks for setting that one straight, even though I don\u2019t think anyone has ever accused Scientologists of worshipping bunnies. People <em>have<\/em> accused Scientology of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Operation_Snow_White\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">illegally influencing the government<\/a>, imprisoning their own members (<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.villagevoice.com\/runninscared\/2012\/02\/scientology_shane_kelsey_rpf.php\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">sometimes even children<\/a>) and forcing them to do menial labor, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/news\/scientology\/lawsuit-claims-church-of-scientology-violated-child-labor-and-wage-laws\/1155473\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">committing a host of labor violations<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/alexklein\/is-scientology-self-destructing\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">haranguing their members into donating tons of money<\/a> to the Church.
