\"\"<\/a>When model Agyness Deyn<\/strong> married actor Giovanni Ribisi<\/strong> got married in June<\/a>, most people \u2013 including Ribisi\u2019s longtime girlfriend Cat Power<\/strong> \u2013 didn\u2019t even know they were together. Because Ribisi is a lifelong member of the Church of Scientology (his twin sister Marissa Ribisi<\/strong> is married to\u00a0Beck), that made me wonder whether Deyn was now a member too.<\/p>\n

Apparently, I wasn\u2019t the only curious person. The Evening Standard asked the model<\/a> if she was now a Scientologist. She said \u201cNo,\u201d but then quickly backtracked, adding, \u201cThat\u2019s the whole thing. You meet someone and you fall in love with them \u2026 Like, I\u2019d go live in a tent if I had to with him.\u201d When flat-out asked if she was being brainwashed, Deyn replied, \u201cBut it\u2019s kind of like, brainwashed to what? The people who are saying this, have they ever read a book? Do they all know what it\u2019s about?\u201d<\/p>\n

While Deyn claims she isn\u2019t a Scientologist, asking people if they\u2019ve read books and asking them what they know about Scientology is straight-up classic Church member behavior. Actress Jenna Elfman<\/strong> once heckled a man in an anti-Scientology T-shirt by demanding to know what crimes he had committed. Good luck with the tent, Aggy.<\/p>\n
