The holiday\u00a0extra hours are triggering complaints and protests from employees.<\/p>\n<h4>Dig Deeper:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>This<a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/2012\/11\/19\/wal-mart-files-legal-complaint-o-stop-growing-worker-strikes-ahead-black-friday\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"> Fox News story <\/a>notes that unions are trying to capitalize on the worker unrest created by the move. Key quote from employee: \u201cIt\u2019s heartbreaking to miss the holiday with them [children], and it\u2019s just one more way that Wal-Mart is showing its disregard for our families.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Insightful commentary from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/why-are-retailers-ruining-thanksgiving-2012-11-19\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jennifer Waters at WSJ Market Watch<\/a>: \u201cIt makes sense then for retailers to just open the doors. They wouldn\u2019t if we didn\u2019t walk through them.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/target-faces-backlash-for-black-thursday-2012-11-14?link=MW_story_insert\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">WSJ says <\/a>Target shareholders have even\u00a0joined the protest over \u201cBlack Friday Creep.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>A Few Thoughts\u2026<\/h4>\n<p>As someone who was in retail for twelve years, including a few with Target management, I hate retail and holidays \u2014 so maybe I\u2019m not the best person to give an opinion on this. However, Waters is correct: the stores are just giving people what they want. Some may wish that people reverenced Thanksgiving as a sacred day, set aside to give sincere thanks to God for our many blessings. Apparently, they don\u2019t anymore. Or they think they can walk and chew gum at the same time. Multi-tasking Thanksgiving? Hmmm, there\u2019s an idea. The reality is that people have a choice \u2013 if you don\u2019t like it, work somewhere else or shop somewhere else. Somehow I don\u2019t think that many people will have the courage to do either as <a href=\"http:\/\/billintheblank.com\/do-you-worship-your-next-paycheck\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">we tend to worship our next paychecks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\">Everyone\u2019s a believer\u00a0until it costs them something.<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Nearly Half\u00a0in US Believe Biblical Creation Timeline<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>The Basics \u2014<\/h4>\n<p>A poll taken by Gallup this past summer shows that 46% of Americans believe that God created humans in their present form at one time in the last 10,000 years.<\/p>\n<h4>Dig Deeper:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Explore\u00a0the survey results from Gallup <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/poll\/155003\/hold-creationist-view-human-origins.aspx\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Note: The survey shows Republican, Independent, and Democrats with very little difference in results.<\/li>\n<li>HT<a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.com\/archives\/2012\/11\/19\/gq-to-marco-rubio-how-old-is-earth\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"> Hot Air <\/a>as Marco Rubio was asked a question on this topic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>A Few Thoughts\u2026.<\/h4>\n<p>After decades of creationist theory not being permitted in US schools, I confess this result\u00a0surprises me.\u00a0Nevertheless, although it might be encouraging to some to note that so many Americans hold to what seems a Biblical account, there clearly is a disconnect between faith and life.\u00a0That belief appears to have\u00a0little connection with voting patterns or positions on other issues.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\">If it doesn\u2019t change your life, do you really believe it?<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Benghazi Investigation Focuses on Why and Who in the White House Changed the Story<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>The Basics \u2014<\/h4>\n<p>Although many media commentators are trying to portray the Benghazi investigation as a\u00a0witch hunt to take down UN Ambassador Susan Rice, Congress continues to rightly focus on why the White House (Obama) dropped the CIA references to Al Qaeda\u2019s involvement in the Libya attack and mislead the American people.<\/p>\n<h4>Dig Deeper:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/11\/19\/susan-rice-nomination_n_2160625.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jason Linkins <\/a>at The Huffington Post claims it was\u00a0\u201ca hothouse hunt for the scalp of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonguardian.com\/what-obama-knew-benghazi\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">John Solomon at the Washington Guardian <\/a>says the President knew about terrorist involvement for certain within 72 hours. HT <a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.com\/archives\/2012\/11\/17\/was-obama-briefed-that-benghazi-was-a-terror-attack-before-rice-went-on-tv\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Hot Air<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Ed Morrissey sums up why this has always been about Obama: \u201cWe certainly have heard enough to conclude that Rice\u2019s statement on several shows that there was \u2018no evidence\u2019 of a terrorist attack was flat-out false, regardless of whether the evidence was conclusive by the time she made those appearances.\u00a0 Solomon\u2019s sources advance that part of the story by claiming that the PDB made a <em>conclusive<\/em> case that Benghazi at least two days before Obama sent Rice out to disseminate a false narrative.\u00a0 If those sources are accurate \u2014 and it\u2019s worth pointing out that anonymous sources have told many conflicting tales in this scandal thus far \u2014<strong> that puts Obama in a very bad position,<\/strong> especially since he personally extended that narrative in the US and at the UN in a speech that blamed \u2018those who slander the Prophet of Islam\u2019 for the violence.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/video\/2012\/11\/14\/obama_to_gop_on_susan_rice_if_they_want_to_go_after_somebody_they_should_go_after_me.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">RealClearPolitics:<\/a> As the President said in his press conference last week, \u201cCome after me.\u201d Apparently, we\u2019ll have to.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/politics\/revealed-inside-story-of-us-envoys-assassination-8135797.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Independent (UK) says <\/a>US knew in advance that the attack was coming.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>A Few Thoughts\u2026<\/h4>\n<p>Concerns about Benghazi have never been about a witch hunt for Susan Rice, or about Petraeus\u2019 affair, or thousands of torrid e-mails \u2014 all just cover to obscure the truth. Benghazi has always been about whether or not we will permit our political leaders to lies to us and get away with it. Obama ran out the clock before the election with an assist from a willing media. If the Bible is to be believed,\u00a0however, we live in a universe where sin does not stay hidden. The President lied. He has made it clear that he is responsible for the information that came out about the attack which\u00a0blamed a video and edited CIA\u00a0information about terrorist involvement. He is also responsble for the woeful lack of security in spite of warnings that violence was coming. So accept the consequences of that responsibility, Mr. President. You can\u2019t have it both ways.<\/p>\n<h4>Leaders trying to hide mistakes can do dangerous things.
