By now you\u2019ve heard about\u00a0Angus T. Jones\u2019\u00a0comments about the \u201cfilth\u201d on his show Two and a Half Men<\/em>.\u00a0Angus\u00a0is the ten-year child star of the hit show on CBS. For those who want a summary, click here to read my FaithWalkers Daily <\/a>to dig deeper. Bottom line,\u00a0Angus T. Jones\u00a0is a young Christian who has come to believe the show that butters his bread is filthy.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I know that\u2019s not news to anyone who has watched the show before. It\u2019s funny at times. Very funny. But it\u2019s also crude and, yes, filthy in its content. I haven\u2019t watched it in years, but it sounds as if it hasn\u2019t changed.\u00a0 I have two complaints with Christians who watch the show:<\/p>\n

  1. Why are you wasting your life away<\/strong> watching sitcoms when they are all nearly identical and you likely won\u2019t remember any of them six months from now? How does that move God\u2019s Kingdom forward ? What\u2019s that? Everyone does it? Oh. OK, kids.<\/li>\n
  2. What the $#%%!<\/strong> (See all you regular watchers of 2.5 Men<\/em> just filled in that word didn\u2019t you? Just kidding! Easy\u2026.) But seriously, how can you watch it\u00a0given that\u00a0God calls us to be holy as He is holy, to guard our minds, keep our eyes from evil,\u00a0and think only on what is pure, etc? Honest question. Any 2.5<\/em> fans have an answer?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    What would you do?<\/h4>\n

    Which brings me to the question of the day: if Christ has called us to be in, but not of, the world, should\u00a0Angus T. Jones\u00a0quit 2.5 Men<\/em>? And should the $300K paycheck per episode factor into his decision? For what it\u2019s worth, here are a few thoughts on how I would answer.<\/p>\n
