I know. I know. It\u2019s not officially called Obamacare. But the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by any other name <\/a>still fails to get God\u2019s vote. And the reasons might surprise you.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s why Obamacare fails to get God\u2019s vote: <\/strong><\/p>\n

    God requires\u00a0rulers\u00a0to keep their covenant with the people.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We are, as Americans, a government of the people, by the people and for the people. We have a history, a culture \u2013 a Biblically sound one \u2014 based on our covenant with our leaders<\/strong>. We call that covenant our Constitution. When our business partners violate\u00a0our corporate\u00a0covenants, we quickly declare it unethical. When a spouse violates the marriage covenant, we rightly view such behavior as immoral. When the used car salesman (the slippery kind, not the one you know) doesn\u2019t stand behind his written agreement, we call someone in a bureaucratic cubicle somewhere because we recognize such dishonesty as morally wrong.<\/p>\n

    Yet when politicians break their covenant with us, we shrug and grumble about not having a voice while chanting, \u201cThrow the bums out!\u201d<\/p>\n

    But God doesn\u2019t dismiss such violations so casually.<\/strong> \u201cLet every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God\u2026.For he is God\u2019s minister<\/em>\u2026.\u201d (Rom. 13:1,4). <\/a>With all due respect \u2014 and\u00a0respect is due to every public-office holder \u2014 God takes His minister\u2019s integrity seriously.<\/p>\n

    Consider a few\u00a0examples of Biblical rulers\u00a0God visited when they overstepped the bounds He gave them:<\/p>\n
