Well, at least two, anyway. Sources tell me there will be no press screenings<\/a> for The Eye<\/a><\/i> \u2014 no surprise there, since it is yet another<\/a> American remake of an Asian horror film and yet another<\/a> Jessica Alba movie and yet another<\/a> film distributed by Lionsgate \u2014 while Kyle Smith<\/a> reports that there will also be no press screenings for Strange Wilderness<\/a><\/i>, which again is no surprise because, like the similarly non-screened Grandma\u2019s Boy<\/a><\/i> (2006) and The Benchwarmers<\/a><\/i> (2006), it is an Adam Sandler-produced film that does not star Adam Sandler. Both films open this Friday \u2014 as does Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour<\/a><\/i>, which is being distributed by Disney, at least in the United States, but for all I know might not have any press screenings either.<\/span><\/p>\n

FEB 1 UPDATE: It looks like Hannah Montana<\/i> was screened for at least a few<\/i> people \u2014 the film opens later today (it is currently 2:45am), and there are eight reviews linked at Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> already, whereas there are still no reviews linked there for The Eye<\/i> or Strange Wilderness<\/i>. However, Hannah Montana<\/i> isn\u2019t even opening<\/i> in Vancouver, whereas the other two films are<\/i>.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
