I play a character named O, and he plays one called Zed, and I\u2019m kind of his friend in it and tagging along, and he\u2019s kind of looking for some kind of meaning for his life.\u201d . . .<\/p>\n<p>But viewers expecting a buddy comedy along the lines of \u201cGhostbusters\u201d or \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2007\/12\/pro-life-pro-choice-could-it-even-be.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Knocked Up<\/a>\u201d should revise their expectations, said Black, calling the style of the film much more along the lines of \u201cthose old \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2007\/06\/not-messiah-premiere-reviewed.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Monty Python<\/a>\u2018 movies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not prehistoric, it\u2019s just pre-Christ. It\u2019s like an old, biblical tale. Cane and Abel type of stuff. Just two dudes wandering through early civilization,\u201d Black explained. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of like \u2018The Meaning of Life\u2019 or \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2007\/08\/newsbites-horseman-dissent-brian-harry.html#3\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Life of Brian<\/a>\u2018 \u2014 a funny look at biblical tales.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of the humor comes from that \u2014 the fact that it\u2019s an adventure,\u201d Cera added. \u201cWe\u2019re walking across these mountains, and I think it\u2019s gonna look really cool. Hopefully it\u2019ll be kind of epic.\u201d . . .<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If the words \u201cyear one\u201d really <i>do<\/i> refer to a point in history so early that most of the stories in the Bible haven\u2019t even happened yet, then it\u2019s beginning to sound like this film won\u2019t be any more \u201cbiblical\u201d than, say, <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2007\/10\/newsbites-trek-wolverine-rowling.html#4\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Scorpion King<\/a><\/i> (2002), which took place in a town called Gomorrah and, if memory serves, made a passing reference to a town called Sodom.
