The man wakes up one day to find that his heavenly writer has decided to no longer draft his life, and he must go about his day unscripted.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Today, <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.variety.com\/article\/VR1118013705.html?categoryId=13&amp;cs=1&amp;nid=2248\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Variety<\/a><\/i> and the <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/hr\/content_display\/news\/e3i3fdb706572f41f07148d0f2f867d0cc3\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i> announced that the project, which was originally pitched by Demetri Martin, is going ahead \u2014 but as a big-screen movie, rather than a TV show. The film will star Paul Rudd and Zach Galifianakis, and the directors attached to the movie are Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton, who last worked on the indie hit <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2006\/08\/newsbites-compass-blood-potter.html#2\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Little Miss Sunshine<\/a><\/i> (2006) and have since toyed with several other projects, including <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2008\/10\/sexy-puritans-and-righteous-foxes.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Abstinence Teacher<\/a><\/i>, but have not yet made an actual follow-up.<\/p>\n<p>As something of a Paul Rudd fan, and as one who loves discussions about the nature of free will etc., I am definitely keen to see this.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four years ago, I passed along a bit of news about a pitch for a TV show called Will, which was going to centre on \u201can ordinary guy who lives in a world where people\u2019s lives and destinies are being written by scribes in Heaven.
