\"\"<\/a>Curious to know what Clint Mansell\u2019s score for Darren Aronofsky\u2019s Noah<\/a><\/i> sounds like? You can get a taste of it now \u2014 just a taste, alas \u2014 courtesy of a page called \u2018Beginnings<\/a>\u2019 at the movie\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, the website features some text that underscores the biblical \u201cwickedness<\/a>\u201d theme that came up in the most recent trailer and TV spot for the film, but it also<\/i> includes a bit of dialogue from Russell Crowe\u2019s Noah that hints at the darker themes that have worried some people.<\/p>\n

The scrolling text is basically a paraphrase of Genesis 6:5-7<\/a>:
\n<\/p>

\n

\nThe Wickedness of Man
\nwas great in the world,
\nwith only evil residing in their hearts<\/p>\n

And this grieved
\nthe Creator.<\/p>\n

So the Creator decided to destroy
\nhis ruined creations,
\nboth man and beast, for he
\nwas sad that he had made them.<\/p>\n

To Noah, he gave the instruction
\n\u201cBuild yourself an Ark\u2026\u201d
\n03\/28\/14<\/p><\/center>\n

And the dialogue we hear from Russell Crowe\u2019s Noah is this:<\/p>\n

This time there will be no men. If we were to re-enter the Garden again, it would only be to destroy it once more. No. The Creator has judged us. Mankind must end.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The images that play behind these words and beneath this audio clip are mostly taken from the existing trailers, though there are a few new shots of ominous stormclouds and the like, as well as a rapid-fire montage of people holding weapons.<\/p>\n

And speaking of images, Aronofsky has tweeted several paintings and whatnot from the upcoming art show Fountains of the Deep: Visions of Noah and the Flood<\/a><\/i>, which opens March 7. Just to make things interesting, Paramount Pictures is now also inviting fans to upload their own Noah-inspired art to the movie\u2019s Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n
