$\"\"$ <\/a>Another day, another TV spot for Darren Aronofsky\u2019s Noah<\/a><\/i>! This time the TV spot is called \u2018Protect\u2019, and it features just a couple new shots, plus a new tagline. As always, you can check them out below the jump, along with some other things that have popped up in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n
First, the new TV spot:<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\nThe soundbites are all familiar, but one of them \u2014 \u201cThe storm cannot be stopped, but it can be survived\u201d \u2014 now plays with the actual footage from which it was taken:<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2014\/02\/vlcsnap-2014-02-28-18h29m13s172.png\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2014\/02\/vlcsnap-2014-02-28-18h29m13s172-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"vlcsnap-2014-02-28-18h29m13s172\" width=\"590\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-14747\"><\/a><\/p>\nThe only other shot that seems new to me is this one of Noah opening a window or some such thing as he builds the Ark:<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2014\/02\/vlcsnap-2014-02-28-18h30m24s215.png\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2014\/02\/vlcsnap-2014-02-28-18h30m24s215-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"vlcsnap-2014-02-28-18h30m24s215\" width=\"590\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-14744\"><\/a><\/p>\nThe TV spot also comes with a new tagline: \n<\/p><center>\n\nWHEN THE END COMES \nWHO WILL YOU SAVE<\/p><\/center>\nTV spots aren\u2019t the only videos that Paramount Pictures is putting out right now. Yesterday they also released the following \u201cmotion poster\u201d:<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title='Noah -- \"The Flood\" Motion Poster' width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ltBxuqD0so4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\nMeanwhile, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.christianitytoday.com\/edstetzer\/2014\/february\/noah-five-positive-facts-about-this-film.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Christianity Today<\/a><\/i> posted a column today in which Jerry Johnson, the man who just persuaded Paramount to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/2014\/02\/the-noah-marketing-campaign-adds-a-disclaimer.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">add a disclaimer<\/a> to the film\u2019s marketing materials, offered a list of \u201cfive commendable facts about Noah<\/i>\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Noah<\/i>\u2019s context among all films is positive.\n<\/li><li>Noah<\/i> knows its place among Bible films.\n<\/li><li>Noah<\/i> follows the basic plotline of the biblical story.\n<\/li><li>Noah<\/i> takes some key Gospel doctrines seriously.\n<\/li><li>Noah<\/i> takes some textual elements literally.<\/li><\/ul>\nRead the article itself for the details that follow each of those bullet points. Next week Johnson will follow that up with a list of five things he didn\u2019t<\/i> like about the film.<\/p>\nFinally, Empire<\/i> magazine has another article about the film in its April issue, and it comes with a few new pictures, behind-the-scenes and otherwise. I especially love the Aronofsky quote that begins: \u201cIn the story you have the first rainbow. If you have the first rainbow, who\u2019s to say they even had blue skies before the Flood?\u201d<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2014\/02\/noah-empire-april1.jpg\"
