Barbara Nicolosi<\/a> announced today that she and some partners have secured the film rights to Sheldon Vanauken\u2019s A Severe Mercy<\/a><\/i>, which she will adapt into a screenplay. She calls it \u201ca really beautiful and wonderful project with strong transcendent themes (and a cameo appearance by C.S. Lewis<\/a>!)\u201d, and while I have not yet read the book myself, the review at Amazon.com indicates that it is an autobiographical story dealing with pagan love, Christian conversion, jealousy, grief, and the relationship between God and tragedy.
