In the meantime, it looks like Daddy\u2019s Little Girls<\/a><\/i>, which opens six days from now, will also pretty much be giving critics the cold shoulder<\/a>. Ryan Stewart at Cinematical<\/a> reports that they \u201crecently received an invitation to screen the upcoming film from the ludicrous Tyler Perry<\/a> \u2014 the day the film opens<\/i>, and not a minute before.\u201d Meanwhile, the Canadian publicist just informed me that there will be no press screenings here at all, though \u201ca few people\u201d might attend a word-of-mouth screening in Toronto tonight.<\/p>\n

Just for background: Tyler Perry\u2019s first film, Diary of a Mad Black Woman<\/i> (2005), opened at #1 in the United States before it was even press-screened in Canada, much less released here.
