But where <i>God\u2019s Not Dead<\/i> took in an estimated $2.8 million and landed in the #11 spot, <i>Noah<\/i> took in $2.3 million and landed at #14.<\/p>\n<p><i>Noah<\/i> also took in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deadline.com\/2014\/04\/international-box-office-spanish-affairs-is-biggest-local-pic-ever-in-spain-passing-titanic-to-become-no-2-movie-of-all-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">another $11.1 million overseas<\/a>, benefiting from strong holds in France, Italy, the UK, Germany, Spain, Turkey and especially Brazil.<\/p>\n<p><i>Noah<\/i> has grossed $97.3 million in North America and another $222.7 million overseas, for a global total of $320 million. <i>God\u2019s Not Dead<\/i>, for its part, has grossed $52.7 million in North America and has presumably made more money overseas, where it has been playing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/2014\/04\/box-office-update-noah-might-get-edged-out-of-the-top-ten-heaven-is-for-real-does-better-than-expected-son-of-god-and-gods-not-dead-begin-to-see-some-action-overseas.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">for a few weeks now<\/a>, but no foreign figures are available <a href=\"http:\/\/boxofficemojo.com\/movies\/?id=godsnotdead.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">at Box Office Mojo<\/a> yet.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->As of this weekend, <i>Noah<\/i> has passed <i>Black Swan<\/i> to become <a href=\"http:\/\/boxofficemojo.com\/people\/chart\/?view=Director&amp;id=darrenaronofsky.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Darren Aronofsky<\/a>\u2019s top-grossing film ever overseas, though its domestic total still lags behind the $107 million that that Oscar-winning film earned in North America.<\/p>\n<p><i>Noah<\/i> is also the fourth-highest-grossing <a href=\"http:\/\/boxofficemojo.com\/people\/chart\/?view=Actor&amp;id=russellcrowe.htm&amp;sort=gross&amp;order=DESC&amp;p=.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Russell Crowe<\/a> film ever overseas \u2014 behind <i>Man of Steel<\/i> (2013), <i>Les Miserables<\/i> (2012) and <i>Gladiator<\/i> (2000), only one of which clearly had him in the lead like <i>Noah<\/i> does \u2014 and it will soon be his fourth-highest-grossing film ever worldwide, as well. In North America, it ranks seventh, behind <i>A Beautiful Mind<\/i> (2001), <i>American Gangster<\/i> (2007) and <i>Robin Hood<\/i> (2010).<\/p>\n<p>The film is also <a href=\"http:\/\/boxofficemojo.com\/people\/chart\/?view=Actor&amp;id=jenniferconnelly.htm&amp;sort=gross&amp;order=DESC&amp;p=.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jennifer Connelly<\/a>\u2019s top-grossing movie ever worldwide, though it lags behind <i>A Beautiful Mind<\/i> (2001) and <i>Hulk<\/i> (2003) in North America.<\/p>\n<p>And for <a href=\"http:\/\/boxofficemojo.com\/people\/chart\/?view=Actor&amp;id=anthonyhopkins.htm&amp;sort=gross&amp;order=DESC&amp;p=.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Anthony Hopkins<\/a>, the film currently ranks fourth overseas \u2014 behind <i>Mission: Impossible II<\/i> (2000) and the two <i>Thor<\/i> movies (2011-2013) \u2014 and seventh in North America, behind <i>How the Grinch Stole Christmas<\/i> (2000), for which he provided the narration, as well as <i>Silence of the Lambs<\/i> (1991) and its sequel <i>Hannibal<\/i> (2001).<\/p>\n<p>In other \u201cfaith-based\u201d news, <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/heaven-is-for-real\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Heaven Is for Real<\/a><\/i> earned $13.8 million for the #3 spot at the North American box office, behind newcomer <i>The Other Woman<\/i> and the fourth week of <i>Captain America: The Winter Soldier<\/i>. That represents a drop of 38.7% from the film\u2019s opening last week. It has now earned $51.9 million altogether.<\/p>\n<p><i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/son-of-god\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Son of God<\/a><\/i> also scraped up an extra $69,000 in 211 theatres, a drop of 74.5% since Easter weekend.
