The latter film seems to be following the typical movie trajectory \u2014 have a big(-ish) opening weekend<\/a>, then progressively smaller weekends<\/a> as the theatrical release runs its course \u2014 while Giants<\/i>, a \u201ccheapie\u201d \u201cfantasy\u201d (as Nicolosi puts it), has shown considerable staying power<\/a> and is reportedly going to expand<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n

One Night with the King<\/i> reportedly cost $20 million to make, has earned $8.3 million after two weeks, and will be lucky to earn much more than half of its production budget. Facing the Giants<\/i> cost $100,000 to make, has earned $5.2 million after four weeks, and keeps chugging along.
