Lewis\u2019s story. The film\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/news\/movienews.php?id=57531\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">press release<\/a> suggests that King Caspian and the others are embarking on their \u201centirely uncharted journey to Aslan\u2019s Country\u201d in order to \u201csave Narnia, and all the astonishing creatures in it, from an unfathomable fate.\u201d And last month, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.starnow.co.uk\/Casting-Calls\/Actors-wanted\/Feature-film\/chronicles_of_narnia.htm\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">casting agency<\/a> was looking for actors to play English soldiers and nurses bidding farewell to each other. Somehow these bits don\u2019t jibe with my memory of the book.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Many other little facts about the film have been collected and collated by the indefatigable fans at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.narniaweb.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">NarniaWeb.com<\/a>, such as: cinematographer Dante Spinotti plans to use the same <a href=\"http:\/\/www.narniaweb.com\/news.asp?id=2201&amp;dl=23517685\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">digital camera<\/a> on this film that he used on Michael Mann\u2019s <i>Public Enemies<\/i>; the Dufflepuds <a href=\"http:\/\/www.narniaweb.com\/news.asp?id=2197&amp;dl=23474945\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">may be CGI<\/a>; and the new cast members will <a href=\"http:\/\/www.narniaweb.com\/news.asp?id=2231&amp;dl=23838235\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">include Bruce Spence<\/a> as Lord Rhoop.  Spence has had small parts in a number of threequels, including <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2009\/05\/what-if-carl-sagan-had-starred-in.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Matrix<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2005\/08\/matrix-ordinations.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Revolutions<\/a><\/i> (2003), <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2005\/05\/zinn-and-chomsky-do-tolkien.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King<\/a><\/i> (2003) and <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2009\/05\/star-trek-does-star-wars.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Star Wars:<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2006\/10\/i-still-hate-bilingual-packaging.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Episode III \u2013 Revenge of the Sith<\/a><\/i> (2005), but he may be best-known among genre buffs for his parts in the last two <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2009\/03\/newsbites-sequels-and-remakes-edition.html#7\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Mad Max<\/a><\/i> movies (1981-1985).<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"2\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">2.<\/a> Paramount is developing a new film version of <i>Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH<\/i>, the Robert C. O\u2019Brien novel that was previously turned by Don Bluth into an animated film called <i>The Secret of NIMH<\/i> (1982). Neil Burger, director of <i>The Illusionist<\/i> (2006), is working on the script, and former Walden Media executive Cary Granat is on board to produce. It has been suggested that the new film may be getting the go-ahead because of the popularity of recent rodent movies such as <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2008\/01\/more-trivial-box-office-data.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Alvin and the Chipmunks<\/a><\/i> (2007) and <i>G-Force<\/i>, the latter of which was #1 in the United States this past weekend (though only #3 in Canada). \u2014 <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/hr\/content_display\/news\/e3i64d7e42a898297d79d57869e2296b41e\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"3\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">3.<\/a> <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2005\/01\/harry-potter-article-archive.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Harry Potter<\/a><\/i> director David Yates says the <a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2008\/03\/harry-potter-seven-books-eight-movies.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">two halves<\/a> of <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2009\/06\/newsbites-fantasy-edition.html#5\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Deathly Hallows<\/a><\/i> will be very different from one another. The first film \u201cis very verit\u00e9 and documentary and edgy and on the road,\u201d and it will feature \u201ca lot of hand-held camera work,\u201d while the second film will \u201cbring that fantasy world back in full Cinemascope\u201d and be \u201ca big opera basically, a great big epic with huge battles and very oddly moving, because it concludes the whole saga really.
