Two months ago<\/a>, I noted that the upcoming remake<\/a> of Invasion of the Body Snatchers<\/i> \u2014 directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel<\/a> and starring future Golden Compass<\/i> co-stars Nicole Kidman<\/a> and Daniel Craig<\/a> \u2014 had been renamed The Visiting<\/i>. Now, a Variety<\/a><\/i> story on producer Joel Silver notes that the film is currently being called The Invasion<\/i>. So they\u2019re sort of<\/i> back to the original movie\u2019s title. <\/span><\/p>\n

Hmmm. The first film version of this story was made in 1956. The first remake was made in 1978, and it kept the full title. The second remake was made in 1993, and it took the second half of the title (Body Snatchers<\/i>). So now, you could say, the third remake is taking the other half of the title (The Invasion<\/i>) \u2014 at least for now.<\/p>\n
