1.<\/a> IGN.com<\/a> reports that Eva Green, recently seen in Kingdom of Heaven<\/a><\/i> and soon to be seen in Casino Royale<\/a><\/i>, has been cast as the witch queen Serafina Pekkala<\/a> in The Golden Compass<\/a><\/i>.<\/p>\n

2.<\/a> What is it with Paul Dano<\/a> and religious content? Earlier this year he played the son of a fundamentalist preacher, who among other things advocates teaching Intelligent Design in public schools, in The King<\/a><\/i> (my review<\/a>); and right now, he can be seen in theatres in Little Miss Sunshine<\/a><\/i>, as a Nietzsche buff whose T-shirt says \u201cJesus Was Wrong\u201d. Now, the Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i> says he has also been cast in Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s There Will Be Blood<\/a><\/i>, as \u201ca gifted, charismatic young preacher who captivates churchgoers.\u201d<\/p>\n
