And, as it happens, both films will feature Palestinian actress Hiam Abbass as a royal figure of some sort. In <i>Exodus<\/i>, she plays Bithiah, the Egyptian princess who adopts Moses, while in <i>The Red Tent<\/i>, she plays Re-Nefer, the queen of Shechem.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Other Bible-movie veterans in <i>The Red Tent<\/i> include:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Darwin Shaw (Dinah\u2019s second husband Benia), who played Adam in the prologue that was added to <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/jesus-1979\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Jesus<\/a><\/i> (1979) in 2003 and Peter in <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/bible-2013\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">The Bible<\/a><\/i> (2013) and its big-screen spin-off <i><a href=\"www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/son-of-god\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Son of God<\/a><\/i> (click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/2014\/02\/darwin-shaw-on-playing-st-peter-and-a-lego-bond-villain.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> for my interview with him);\n<\/li><li>Stewart Scudamore (King Hamor of Shechem), who played Dinah\u2019s brother Judah in <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/in-the-beginning-2000\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">In the Beginning<\/a><\/i> (2000), Simeon in <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/nativity-story\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">The Nativity Story<\/a><\/i> (2006) and Ramesses in <i>The Bible<\/i> (2013); he is also currently playing Peter in the upcoming <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/resurrection-aiello\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Clavius<\/a><\/i>;\n<\/li><li>Sean Teale (Dinah\u2019s first husband Shalem, who is also the son of Hamor and Re-Nefer), who played Young Ramesses in <i>The Bible<\/i> (2013); and\n<\/li><li>Mourad Zaoui (the Guard), who is playing John in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/lumo-project\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">the Lumo project<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n<p>And while she hasn\u2019t appeared in any Bible movies, <i>per se<\/i>, Morena Baccarin (Jacob\u2019s wife Rachel) did co-star in <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/2008\/02\/what-horrors-hath-cecil-b-demille-wrought.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Sands of Oblivion<\/a><\/i> (2007), a made-for-TV horror movie that was based on the <i>making of<\/i> the 1923 version of <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/ten-commandments-1923\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">The Ten Commandments<\/a><\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>And, of course, <i>The Red Tent<\/i> is being directed by Roger Young, who directed several films for the Lux Vide \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/bible-collection\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Bible Collection<\/a>\u2019 series \u2014 including <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/joseph-1995\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Joseph<\/a><\/i> (1995), which was already one of the very very few films to tell the
