I have only listened to the score once so far, and I don\u2019t intend to listen to it again until after I have seen the movie, but I like what I hear. Ottman \u2014 whose past debt to John Williams is obvious if you compare, e.g., his \u2018The Arrests\u2019 from The Usual Suspects<\/a><\/i> (1995) with Williams\u2019s \u2018The Conspirators\u2019 from JFK<\/a><\/i> (1991) \u2014 makes good use of Williams\u2019s classic Superman<\/i> themes, but he adds his own unique material, too, giving his score an emotional resonance that is faithful to the original score but takes it to some interesting new places. Which is certainly more than can be said for the scores to the other Superman<\/i> sequels.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
