1.<\/a> At last, we have a Joseph! TelevisionPoint.com<\/a> reports that the Guatemala-born Oscar Isaac<\/a> will play the husband of Mary in Catherine Hardwicke\u2019s Nativity<\/a><\/i>, while Irish actor Ciar\u00e1n Hinds<\/a> will play King Herod. 2.<\/a> Cinematical<\/a> says Harry Potter Movie #5 will come out on July 13 of next year, only six days after Harry Potter Book #7 comes out. Looks like that will be one Very Crazy Week. Incidentally, did you know that this year, 2006, is the first year since 1996 in which there has been, or will be, not one new Harry Potter<\/a> book or film?<\/p>\n

3.<\/a> FilmStew.com<\/a> interviews Josh Hutcherson<\/a>, who is currently filming Bridge to Terabithia<\/a><\/i> in New Zealand:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s really cool about Bridge to Terabithia<\/i> is that we\u2019re filming almost all of it on location,\u201d Hutcherson says. \u201cNew Zealand is so beautiful and has such different scenery. We are really shooting it out in the woods in the middle of nowhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnnaSophia Robb is great to work with,\u201d Hutcherson exclaims. \u201cWe\u2019re close to the same age and have a lot in common, so we\u2019ve become great friends. That\u2019s cool because being so far away from home it\u2019s really nice to have someone to hang out with and go do stuff with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hutcherson also has generous praise for the screen dad to follow Williams, Robert Patrick, most recently seen as the distant father figure in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line<\/a><\/i>. \u201cHe is the most giving actor I\u2019ve ever worked with,\u201d the actor insists. \u201cHe\u2019s such a big inspiration to me. He\u2019s helpful and shares ideas and, being a younger actor than him, I can learn so much.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

6.<\/a> Jim Hill<\/a> says Disney failed to get merchandising deals with a number of companies, apparently because the executives at those companies think Disney\u2019s upcoming film The Wild<\/a><\/i> won\u2019t be a hit.<\/p>\n

7.<\/a> Orlando Sentinel<\/i> critic Roger Moore blogs<\/a> about his experiences with Sony and their not-so-airtight efforts to prevent critics<\/a> from seeing The Benchwarmers<\/a><\/i> in advance.<\/p>\n

8.<\/a> Cinematical<\/a> reports that Anna Paquin is developing Blue State<\/a><\/i>, a movie about an American Democrat who follows through on a promise to move to Canada after George W. Bush is re-elected \u2014 just in time to watch Canada elect its first Conservative government in 13 years! Actually, I don\u2019t know if the movie will get into that last detail, but it would add a nice touch of irony.<\/p>\n

9.<\/a> Nerve.com<\/a> reports that Walden Media founder Philip Anschutz is \u201cusing his wealth to buy a place for evangelicals in Hollywood,\u201d via films like The Chronicles of Narnia<\/a><\/i>. (And where, I wonder, does Bridge to Terabithia<\/i> fit into his nefarious schemes?)<\/p>\n
